Our curriculum is developed by a talented team of professionals with extensive education and real life medical experience. Our team worked together to survey teachers and students about which healthcare topics were most relevant and interesting. With this insight, we created hands-on workshops that allows students to start to experience what their future in healthcare could be like. All of our lesson plans include a tie to healthcare and almost all of our lessons have a hands-on/critical thinking component. The skills that students learn during their MedEx experience are not only fun, but provides the students with life saving skills that are beneficial to all students, regardless of their future career.

We have started offering a week long summer camp for students who are interested in learning the MedEx skills, but don't have it offered at their school.

This is also for students who want to learn all of the material in one week rather than over a semester. Having a summer camp format option also allows for more students to return to help teach the class and gain healthcare leadership experience!

The cost is $499 per student as we have to rent out event space, hire medical professionals to helps run the class, buy supplies, and there are only 40 spots open for each week of camp. This is a 40-hour camp over the course of one week (9AM-5PM, Monday-Friday). The price is comparable or even cheaper than most local debate camps, space camps, etc. 

A full refund for camp will be provided as long as you call/email with at least 12 days notice. If cancelling less than 12 days prior to the start of camp, you will receive a 50% refund.

There are thirty-four 45-60 minute lessons. All supplemental online instructional videos, powerpoints, and worksheets are provided. Additionally, all hands-on supplies are delivered directly to the school. We plan to continue to add new workshops based on student interest and educational needs.

Twenty-five students is has been the most common, but the program can easily accommodate for smaller or larger class sizes. In general, having at least 5-10 students is ideal. 

You have total flexibility! Each lesson is 45-60 minutes long. Lessons can be used once a week for an entire school year, twice a week for a semester, or even integrated into a MedEx after school club.

The first step would be to purchase the program. Then, you will receive a confirmation email that will ask you which top 3 schools you are wanting to sponsor, if you had a specific teacher in mind, and how much you would like to be involved (anything from zero involvement, to teaching every session, and everything in between!). With that information we will do the ground work for you! We reach out to the principal and let them know about the awesome opportunity. Then we answer all of the administrative questions and help figure out which teacher or school nurse would be the best fit to run MedEx. 

From there you will be notified who will be the point person at the school who you can work with as little or much as you would like. There is an online training for both you and the teacher/school nurse to get comfortable with the material in addition to a video or regular phone call to answer specific questions! 

Don't worry, if a school for some reason is unable to implement MedEx at that time, we will extend the membership until they are able to begin, or you can receive a full refund!
